After nearly 2 hours up the mast, VHF
antenna replaced and able to transmit
12 NM !

HYS Service
After a successful full service invluding heat exchanger end caps replacement as well as
Exhaust elbow inspection, it was time for a full run in and test.
Trip up the itchen, under Itchen bridge for the first time.
Yarmouth
Target was The Needles, but due to a
strong tide and high winds, went in at
Yarmouth

Following the sunrise out at 5am with
an estimated trip duration of 13.5
hours

With the tide just right, made it up the
medina to the folly

Over 1000 hours now on the VP MD2040 - Still running
smooth

With a High aparent wind speed, we
set off… I think it even peaked at 36kts
Sails tripple furled
Was a bit distracted to get a picture of the 3 meter
waves, so this is in the sheltered waters on route
home.
